NEW EasyCut Guards Cut Better and Last Longer

EasyCut has been designed to prevent the two cutting edges from moving apart.  This is how it works.  The guards have cutting edges at the top and bottom.   They clamp around the cutter bar and area bolted top and bottom.  The knife sections are then alternately bolted right side up and upside down onto the cutter bar.  With EasyCut one section cuts against the bottom cutting edge of the guard and the next section cuts against the top.

Easycut Guards Cut Better & Last Longer

On conventional guards hardness penetrates cutting corner (B) 1.4 times A.
With Easy Cut hardness penetrates cutting edge (Y) 1.78 times X.

Unlike other cutting systems there's no upward pressure on the knife.  With the sections alternately cutting against the top and bottom of the guards the cutting edges stay close together because the knife remains balanced.  You get top cutting performance from start to finish.  And with the system always in balance, it keeps cutting under more severe conditions, it's easier to drive and there's less breakage.

With EasyCut the knife can't life and break guards.  The small stones which often lift the knife of ordinary cutting systems and break guards cause virtually no problem with EasyCut.  If a small stone does get caught it will either stall the system or break an easy to replace bolt on knife section.

NEW SCH Roller Guide

Currently the knife in a cutterbar is supported by a wear plate. The wider platforms and demand for better cutting performance leads to more wear on the knifeback and wear blades. The new SCH Roller Guide solves that problem. The friction on the knifehead is greatly reduced, the knife runs more smoothly and the cutting performance increases.
